About me... Mrs. Fredrickson I am originally from Iowa. I graduated from Iowa State University in Interior Design. After having my own business, moving to three different towns in Illinois with my husband's career, and having three children, I returned to school at Eastern Illinois University to pursue certification in teaching, so I could spend more time with my children and yours.
Rick, my husband, is a veterinarian, and we have 3 children. Taw, age 24, recently started Veterinary school at the University of Illinois, Kelcie, age 21, a Senior in the pre-vet program at Augustana College in Rock Island, and Karissa, age 18, a freshman at Franklin College in Indiana, hoping to pursue a career in psychology. We live on a farm with 8 cows, 2 ponies, 2 dogs and many farm cats. Animals and sports keep us very busy. I am really excited about starting my 12th year at Gibson City in the third grade classroom. I have been co-teaching at various grade levels at GCMS since I started 12 years ago, however, my main focus all along has been in the elementary and in 2nd and 3rd grades, and RTI. As your students will be learning new things in third grade, so will I!!! I am looking forward to a very rewarding year. |
Destinations |
Some of my favorite places I have traveled.... Alaska, Florida, and Hawaii. I believe all have the common denominator of water and beaches!!!

Hobbies |
I love to be creative in the arts - drawing, scrap-booking, card making, jewelry making, and sewing, etc. I also like to fish, garden and read. As busy as life is right now with teaching and my 3 children's sports, many of my hobbies are dreams on hold.
I try to incorporate some of these activities in our classroom projects. There is a great amount of research linking the arts to higher level thinking skills. |
